Moksha Resorts is located at the heart of the upper Hunza Valley, in the village of Gulmit on the side of the Karakoram Highway. There are numerous activities around for the nature lovers and outdoors enthusiasts.

Upper Hunza Valley

The upper Hunza Valley stretches from Attabad Lake to Passu. The valley is surrounded by high peaks, such as Attabad Peak or the mighty Shispare (7611 m above sea level !).

Boat tour on Attabad Lake

You can rent a boat tour to admire the beauty of this blue water lake. The lake was formed in 2010 when a massive landslide hit the village of Attabad.

Hike to Baskochi Meadows

Situated above Attabad lake, you can reach Baskochi Meadows within one hour, following a steep trail. You can see the whole upper Hunza Valley from this scenic vantage point.

Climb the steps of Ondra Poygah

This is the longest stairs in Pakistan. They lead to Ondra Fort, a defensive fort from the 16th century, which overlooks Gulmit and Ghulkin villages.

Cross the suspension bridges

There are 3 suspension bridges that cross the Hunza river : Husseini suspension bridge(the longest), Rainbow suspension bridge and Passu suspension bridge. Crossing them on foot will definitely give you some goosebumps !

Visit Ghulkin and Passu glaciers

These two glaciers are reachable from Gulmit. Ghulkin glacier is a “black” glacier covered with rocks and soil, whereas Passu glacier is a “white” glacier that can be seen from Passu village.

Swim in Borith lake

Borith lake is a high altitude lake. You can rent a boat tour and even swim in it if you feel brave enough !

Spot the local wildlife

The mountains are home to many local species, including Yaks, Ibex, Marco Polo sheeps, Blue Sheeps, Tibetan wolves and Snow Leopards. If you’re lucky, you might spot them !

Gaze at the Passu Cones

The Passu Cones are an iconic (pun intended) rock formation that can be seen from many vantage points in the upper Hunza valley.

Gulmit Old House

This traditional house stands as a symbol of the ancient Wakhi culture, attracting hundreds of national and foreign tourists every year.

Visit the Shimshal Valley

This magnificent valley is only accessible after a 3 hours jeep journey via a perilous yet stunning rocky road. You will eventually reach Shimshal village from where numerous treks star.

Drive to Khunjerab pass

You can reach the China border at the Khunjerab pass (4700 m above sea level). The road goes through the Khunjerab National Park and its sheer beauty.
